Page 35

One layout...lots of challenges done using it :)
First I started with the sketch from FTS for February, then incorporated my Press your luck challenge from colorfulcreations.  While I was adhereing the papers, the SYAO for the week came out, which was another challenge for another blog, so 2 more done there...and then it also worked for an ACOT challenge and About the boys challenge.
So...here are the original challenges:
February sketch from FTS:
Colorful Creations Press your luck challenge:

Signups for this event have ended. Below you will see the numbers 1 thru 20, PM me your number and I will send you your challenge.  As the numbers are selected they will be crossed off the list so if you see a number has been crossed off please dont choose that number. Once we hit the number 20 it will start over again. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE!! Thanks!
How it works-
Above you will see the Colorful Creations Press Your Luck Game board.  Around the game board there are several different challenges,  behind each number is a challenge.  You will pick a number between 1-20 and whatever challenge that number is behind will be your challenge.

I picked number 3, and was placed in the first grouping of 20, and got the following challenge:
Use at least 3 border punches on your
so...I did just that.  I have the journal area using fiskars postage stamp punch, the title with the notebook edge punch and then the rings border punch for the strip at the top.

My SYAO for week 54 was to use a current challenge over at the CSI blog, here is that original:
SYAO2 Challenge #54 - due 2/12/13
New Year New Rules!
There are no set rules anymore ! Each week will be different !
You must use or do whatever is asked for that week to move on.
The challenge is to do the current challenge over on the CSI blog
if you finish it by the 10th you can also enter it in their challenge.
Click on the CSI link to take you to their blog to read about it & see
DT samples

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page over there to see the following
For those new to the challenge, you can learn more about the challenge rules here and here.
THE SCHEME (USE ALL 5 COLORS)
  • Teal Affection - bright teal green, taken from the left bird's head  - 46.136.136
  • Dreamy Green - light celadon green, taken from the left bird's neck - 228.232.197
  • On Cloud 9 - white, taken from the birds' bodies - 255.255.255
  • A Kiss of Pink - ballet-slipper pink, taken from the background - 253.232.231
  • Candy Heart - dark lipstick pink, taken from the right bird's head - 213.84.103

EVIDENCE (CHOOSE AT LEAST 2 ELEMENTS)
  • hearts
  • flowers
  • leaves/vines
  • birds
  • solid background
  • 10 layers (inspired by the heart)
  • die cuts
  • punches
  • feathers
  • fabric brads
  • stars/starbursts
  • a large heart as a major design element
  • weave or intertwine something (inspired by the vines)

TESTIMONY (CHOOSE AT LEAST 1 ELEMENT)
  • Document a love story (interpret as you wish).
  • Write a top 10 (or other 10) list
  • Journal from two different perspectives (he said/she said; the past you/the present you; the present you/the future you, etc.)
  • Record a conversation or journal as dialogue
  • Use a heart-shaped journaling spot
  • Add hearts to your journaling spot
  • Inspiration Words: -- soar, love, reflect use these as inspiration for your journaling, not just as a title
So..I used all the colors in my layout, for evidence I used flowers and punches and for testimony, I added hearts to my journaling spot and used the word love for my inspiration...which leads me to the next challenge...

A fairly new blog is running its first challenge ITSABOUTTHEBOY is the blog, and the challenge is to introduce the little men that we scrapbook about, and having their names someplace on the layout...mine are in the journaling.  I will note...my little men are growing up way too fast.

For ACOT is used the February Journaling Challenge:
It is February--sometimes know as the month of love-so in honor of that my challenge if you should accept it is to :
Create a layout about something you love, it can be a person, place, or thing.
However, you must JOURNAL why you love the person, place or thing. You must be specific in your journaling. The TWIST is that you must use one of these journaling techniques:
-List
-direct writing on the layout itself
-hidden journaling (if you choose this option please mention where your journaling is)

Great job Lisa. Besides the layout being really great, I know how hard it is to find other challenges that will coordinate with the one I'm doing. I put together 5 or 6 once, but spent so much time looking for challenges that went together that it just wasn't worth it. You did a great job with these! Congrats!
