Use 1: stamping, coloring, stitching(faux or real). Use 2: 3+ pattern paper, 3+ flowers, an animal, Glitter/bling, ribbon/twine

 Here is my take:  I used real stitching for the branch he is sitting on, and then an animal and twine.
