Advanced Art Class: Okay, so my art today is actually not so
advanced! Haha!
Remember doing leaf rubbings in school? I wanted to take that concept and apply
it to a layout! Gather a few leaves, some white printer paper, and a white
crayon. (You could also do this with another resist method, like rubber cement
or resist ink, but I wanted to go old school!) Lay the leaves under the paper,
veins up so that they will give a nice impression. Rub the crayon all over
them.
Use some watercolors or use some mists
with a paintbrush dipped in! Paint over the crayon and your image will start to
appear!
Cut out the leaves. I love that they curl up just like real leaves!
