As usual, the photos aren't cooperating. The first two pages were a full page kit created for me for the holidays. The 3rd page were the extras that didn't fit but I still wanted to display in the album.

This kit was made for me by Laurie as part of my 12-days of christmas gifts. She used a sketch based upon an outonthelimbscrapbooking layout...great job...I only switched out the ribbon, as these photos were for the boys blue-belts I thought it appropriate to use blue ribbon. (thanks Robin for the blue ribbon)

Here is my FTS week 20 layout. The original sketches were designed for 8x10, which I don't scrap, so with a little modification I made it work for 12x12 which is what I do scrap. Here are the pages larger.
I distressed the edges with black ink, then I used black and white papers plus 1 color, 4 patterned papers, glitter (under the title) and I hand journalled.
Here is the original challenge:
Week 20
Use at least 1: distressing, stitching. Use at least 3: 6+ flowers, glitter, 4+ pattern paper, black and white plus 1 color, handwritten journaling

love when I have the photos printed that work for when I get full page swaps back. This one was made by Laurie for me from a themed full page sketch swap from my group. Great job, and with it being themed for something I need, is now used and put into the completed pile. thanks.

I used the SYTYCS challenge for this layout.
Here is the original:
NOTE PLEASE READ: you can ONLY use on of the items listed above, however you can use more than one of that item for example, if you choose to use stars, you can use more than one star but you CANNOT use anything else on the list so then your list of items would be (diecut, 3 photos, color combo and stars) nothing more.

The purple brutt squad! Michael smallest in the group took 1st place in sparring. We heard all day and continue to hear...he took down the mountain. We are all very proud of him. He works hard at karate, loves it and will one day be a black belt.

My week 23 of SYAO. :-)
Photo is Michael (left) and his friend Gavin from karate. They compete in the same division and both took second place...Michael in forms and Gavin in sparring. We are proud of both of them.
For the challenge, I used a banner which I distressed with inks, staples, buttons and 3 patterned papers, I used a punch and misted with glimmer mist (although it didn't photograph very well)

An overlay that I bought awhile ago at one of the conventions, either GASC or Memory Expo. Michael came in first place in his sparring competition with karate. He had to take down the boy on the far right...Michael is second from the left. BIG size difference...just goes to show you...size really doesn't matter. WTG Michael.

A full page not swap...where all the elements are made in the swap based upon a sketch, and no 12x12 paper is included to keep the costs down. These elements wee made by Jo-Anne...for the boys karate graduation photos becoming a purple belt...yes paper and belt are purple in real life...not blue.

This was the boys first karate competition, June 2010. Michael placed 3rd in forms, and neither did well in sparring. They were orange belts. Shout out to IASST for the swap pieces using the patterned paper and bazzill. Love it.

By far one of my favorite layouts.
I bought this kit at the scrapbook expo in NJ about 3 years ago, and just didn't have the right photos for it. I did have to alter it a bit...as it was designed to be a girl with a black belt, and since the boys were doing their orange belt test...I found an orange ribbon.

2011 - page 22 Karate
This was a full page sketch swap done by Janell theme was sports. I loved it for my karate photos, my only complaint is Janell whatever brand of glue dots you used...were a grand pain to life up to get the photos under...but I did it. You still rock my friend.
