Legoland...sideways style. :)  Michael saw coaster and thought BIG coaster...he was disappointed it was a large coaster...but was a trooper and went on it for mommy :)  Even put his hands up in the air.  Layout was from a swap.

These are photos from 6th grade of Michael doing Intramural soccer at Pine Brook school.  I was on the yearbook committee (for a short period of time) and was friendly with the teacher that she permitted me to come and take photos.  Yeah I took some of the yearbook, most were for my own personal pages.  Part of the page is from a  swap the GOAL transparency I have no clue where I got, but it has been in the drawer way too long, so now it is in the album :)

I FINALLY got some scrapping done this weekend.  This is from our latest vacation...we went to California. Got to meet an online friend in real person which was so cool.  These were some photos we took prior to hooking up with Pauline at Legoland.  Yes...we had a blast the entire vacation.  Legoland by far was our favorite.  all those little pieces...wow.

Layout was a full page sketch done for my swap group.

Photos from SDV in 2009.  Items were from a swap on my group, that somebody else turned into another swap which was a swap exchange with a twist.  the twist was the pieces had to be adhered ready to use.  She flocked the flowers on the left page, and used skittles on the right side.

Shout out to Kathy for piffing me this great page kit.  I had to modify it slightly for my photos, but worked for some cruise photos.

Some really older photos that I found in an envelope that survived our house fire.  These were from my friend Stacy's wedding, in may 1994.  Mom and Dad were invited...and I was a bridesmaid...at least I was able to spend time with Mark as she didn't have us sit at a head table, she sat me with my parents and Mark...much better.

Anyway, the layout was my week 25 FTS challenge:
I used: distressing (both natural (the burned edges of the photos from the fire) and inking), and a paper pieced teddy bear.  I then used: 2 or more die cut images, 5 buttons, bling, 5 patterned papers and no cardstock(everything is a patterned paper (some solid))

Here is the original:

My FTS challenge for this week.  I distressed the edges with chalk ink- black, then I used photos from my friend Meg's wedding...I think it was either 1999 or 2000, but I don't recall.  She looked like a barbie doll. :), 5+ patterned papers from a pad I had DCWV Bella Boutique and I used two buttons (black on the ribbon title)

Here is the original challenge:

Week 23
Use 1 or more: Stamping, fussy cutting, distressing. Use 3 or more: ribbon, photos 5+yrs old, 5+ pattern papers, buttons.

Here is my FTS week 20 layout.  The original sketches were designed for 8x10, which I don't scrap, so with a little modification I made it work for 12x12 which is what I do scrap.  Here are the pages larger.

I distressed the edges with black ink, then I used black and white papers plus 1 color, 4 patterned papers, glitter (under the title) and I hand journalled.

Here is the original challenge:

Week 20
Use at least 1: distressing, stitching. Use at least 3: 6+ flowers, glitter, 4+ pattern paper, black and white plus 1 color, handwritten journaling

here is my so you think you can scrap challenge for week 6.  I followed the rules...and yes I used flowers and pink...oh my
Here is the original:

Use the sketch below to create a MONOCHROMATIC layout. You can pick your color.  You may use black or white letters for journaling or titles only.  Layout MUST be double page just like the sketch. You MUST stay true to the sketch. You MUST useALL of the following items on your pages:

Die cut
Border punch
Flowers (at least TWO MUST be handmade)
Bling
Butterflies

For those of you who do not know what a monochromatic layout is it a page done in the same color scheme, only ONE color.  So pick a color of your choice and stay within that family of colors.  The papers can be cardstock OR pattern or a combination of both.  You can use black or white letters for your title/journaling only.  You can also use clear bling.

Back to DC trip...the washington momument, or as I've always called it, the pencil.  This was a unique set of photos as people were actually scaling the momument, checking for structural damage after the earthquake.

    Thanksgiving at Grandma's house.
    This was a swap kit.

going to great adventure is always fun, but watching my babies go on roller coasters that go upside down...super cool (mom will not do it).  This was the first time Michael was tall enough to go on Batman the Ride

More baseball photos from that same year.  Layout was a ctmh class kit from Michelle at SDV-NC. Robin and I were the only 2 in the class...talk about "special" treatment.  Loved the class, the techniques taught and of course the prizes we got.
