My card for week 2 in CYAO. They provide a sketch and a min of 3 items to use on the card...I used patterned paper, 3 layers, twine and dry embossed. I even used some stash that I got in my superbowl loot from scrappiestdisneyswaps...so that is always a good thing.

Sketch provided...and used the following that were required: photo corners, buttons, ribbon, staple (I stapled the ribbon to the tag sticker) and then for technique...yes folks I stitched. I used my sew easy for the first time ever! Coming from the person that still brings all sewing needs to her mommy.

A superbowl challenge sketch on FTS. Nothing like waking up to fresh snow...and a beautiful sunrise! Snowflake is NOT handmade...it is actually a gift tag that I kidnapped from the garbage pile after the gift was open. Topper is handmade not by me...it was from a swap. I didn't really like the elements in the swap together...so I opted not to use them together.

What started out as a one page challenge for one group, turned into a two page challenge for another. I love when that happens! Challenge 1 (left side) was to use 2 different patterned papers from the same designer (different lines), 2 photos, and a 2 word title. Once I finished that, I found I still had some great photos from that day...and went on another group and found a double page spread that would work with what I was doing...and here you have page 7 and 8 finished for the year. I can't get over how tiny Jerzey was the day we brought her home.

It also happens to be week #1 in the 52 week challenge on Scrappiestdisneyswaps...so I get 2 challenges done with one layout.

These are photos from holiday cards 2010...I just hate throwing out such nice photos...so by including them in my scrapbooks, I feel better about tossing the rest of the card.

Well...this layout is really for a full page sketch swap that I'm hosting on my swap group. I had just got some photos in from shutterfly, so I altered my own sketch for the swap for these photos. I hope the other gals in the swap like the pages I made for them. I asked each for a theme and ran with the swap from there.

My girlie girl niece rebecca...who is so NOT a pretty in pink kinda girl anymore. She is almost 25. These were taken in 1989...rescued from her grandmother's house from a flood, now forever preserved in my scrapbook!
I used the layout for two different challenges...one on scrappiestdisneyswaps for a bonus challenge to use a single page sketch from our 52-week challenge, I used week 29. While I was going with the pinks (which mind you wasn't the easiest for me to find in my stash) I also used a layered flower for Friends_that_Scrap virtual vacation destination Caribbean...where we had to use a layered flower. The Joker...One of Mark's favorite find. Ad for the sale...buy my bike, as I have to give half the sale to my wife in the divorce settlement. Mark got the bike dirt cheap because of that, and then sold it for what it was really worth. Quick and easy turn around. my page 79 for the year was done for a chain gang challenge. In this challenge we all picked gangster names for ourselves and we were broken into 4 chain gangs…I was in 2 (my page 77 was the other group). The basics of the challenge, a sketch was given to the first person in the chain gang, they scrapped their page, and instead of sending the original sketch, they send their scrapped layout…and the next person scraplifts that, and passes their layout on to the next person, until all of the chain is completed you don’t know what the original sketch was (except for the person who started it)…it was tons of fun…and here is my sketch layout from it:

Well I went again to GASC this year...it was a blast to get away for a couple of days and hang with my girls. Rhonda (who got sick and couldn't join us) had everyone make tags so to share with all so we could have a mini album of who we are. I don't do tags or mini albums, so I didn't participate...of course Rhonda and Robin couldn't let it go...so they created my tag and I got a tag from everyone. Like I said, I don't keep mini albums so...I scrapped the tags. This is the 1st layout of the 3...the other two shall follow or be close.

I love it when friends get together and do fun things. The boys and a bunch of friends (various ages) all got together at the beach. These kids for the most part have known each other since birth (or pretty close to it), they had so much fun. I hope the friendships last a lifetime.

I know for some wet embossing is not a big deal...for me on the other hand, this is as messy as it gets! I am making the boys b'nai mitzvah invites, or at least trying to. So when I went away in March, Robin gave me a one-on-one class on how to emboss (I have had the stuff, and petrified to do it). Now I'm doing it. So thank you Robin. I will keep you all posted on how the invites turn out. Right now they are just little pieces of stuff, nothing fully together (other than a sample)

I bought this kit at the scrapbook expo in NJ about 3 years ago, and just didn't have the right photos for it. I did have to alter it a bit...as it was designed to be a girl with a black belt, and since the boys were doing their orange belt test...I found an orange ribbon.

I love when Mark challenges me. He saw this on the back of a motorcycle, and took a photo with cell phone. He asked if I could turn the photo into a paper piecing. So I did. I love how it turned out..and will be including it in his motorcycle album once I get the right photo (hehehe)
